I live in Africa. I went through 11 days of master cleanse diet. Its is impossible to get maple syrup from this side of Africa, so I decided to use fresh raw organic honey to replace Maple syrup. It worked wonders and whenever I would feel hungry I would take a glass of lemonade. My friends started commenting that I became slender and my skin was glowing and looked brighter than before. I told them my little secret and they are looking forward to try the cleanse.
My encouragement is, if you cannot get Maple Syrup, use organic honey, it works wonders.
Thanks for master cleanse, I will do it again after 3 months. The “side effect” is am getting more and more attention from men everywhere.
I did the cleanse for 10 days and bought Peter’s new book and followed it very closely! I did not have bowel movements of any kind until the morning of the fourth day!!! Was I that plugged up or why did it take that long? I did the tea in the evenings and salt water flush in the a.m. I did modify the amount of sea salt from the suggested 2 tsp to 2 1/2 to 3 tsp. and I think that may have helped me finally have stools.
Also when I stopped the cleanse on day 11 it took 3 to 4 days for me to have any bowel movements. Is it like this for everyone who comes off the cleanse. I was on a fresh veggie diet with fresh squeezed oj in the mornings.
I plan on doing this cleanse sometime in January 2010.
My sister wants to try the cleanse but the past several years she avoids citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, etc) because she tends to break out in cold sores on her lips. She can’t even drink orange juice because she breaks out with them. Therefore she is extremely leery of trying this cleanse. Any ideas or suggestions????
Please help. She would greatly benefit from a cleans but it may cause her to react this way. We look forward to hearing Peter Glickman’s advice.
