The Master Cleanse has been renowned for its success in detoxifying the body of harmful toxins, and helps the body lose weight as an added bonus. In fact, The Cleanse has been known to be extremely effective, more and more people have used it, and the positive results are testaments to its ongoing success. However, The Cleanse may not be a viable solution for individuals with Type 2 diabetes, due to the significant amounts of sugar in its past recipes. Although, all hope is not lost for Type 2 diabetics. There is now an alternative recipe for people suffering from Type 2 diabetes, which will be revealed later in this article.

For people without diabetes, there are two levels to The Master Cleanse; novice and advanced. Bellow is both of these recipes, and an alternative to the novice level:

Incorporate the Lemon/Lime Juice, the Cayenne Pepper, and the Organic Grade B Maple Syrup in a glass (10 oz), or lidded container. Fill the glass or container with water, and stir or shake.

Agave Syrup In The Type 2 Diabetes Master Cleanse Recipe

The GI or Glycemic Index is the measurement in which carbohydrates affect blood sugar levels, or the speed in which glucose is released into the bloodstream. The faster carbohydrates are broken down, during digestion; the higher the Glycemic Index. The slower carbohydrates are broken down, during digestion, the lower the Glycemic Index. The lower the Glycemic Index, the better for Type 2 Diabetics. Here is the Glycemic Index of known sweeteners as compared to Agave Syrup:

Maltose = 100

Table Sugar = 64

Honey = 62

Maple Syrup = 54

Agave Syrup = 27

Agave Syrup comes from the Agave plant, a plan similar to the cactus, and is native to Mexico. Agave Syrup is the best sweeter to be used by Type 2 Diabetics, due to its GI of a mere 27, which is by far lower than any of the sweeteners normally used in the market today.

Cinnamon In The Type 2 Diabetes Master Cleanse Recipe

Currently, researchers, scientists, and doctors have only begun to discover the benefits of Cinnamon. Fortunately, a benefit to Type 2 Diabetics has been discovered. Cinnamon has antioxidant properties, and has the ability to potentially assist in maintaining healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Recent discoveries have proven that the addition of Cinnamon in Type 2 Diabetic’s diets have dramatically reduced the health risks related to Cardiovascular problems and Diabetes, making the exotic spice a preferred ingredient among Type 2 Diabetics.

Type 2 Diabetes has had adverse effects on individuals suffering from this disease. The complications caused by this disease have made certain treatments unavailable to these people, due to the presence of sugar in these treatments. In the past, this included The Master Cleanse as well. With the birth of The Type 2 Diabetes Master Cleanse Recipe, undergoing the detoxification process is now a possibility.
